Jaco Island is part of the protected Nino Konis Santana National Park. Situated at the eastern tip of East Timor. Jaco is blessed with amazing white sand beaches, pristine waters and low vegetation. Visitors can walk the beach, swim, snorkel…and fishing is allowed. Being “Lulic” (sacred) land to locals, overnight camp, has to receive approval from the local traditional chiefs.

Travel the scenic coastal road, where the vegetation varies from mangroves, vast grassland, to white Eucalyptus growing in steep rugged mountains. Enjoy magnificent views of the ocean, coral reefs, white sand beaches, marble rock beaches, passing through various seaside fishing villages on the way to the town of Manatuto renown for its pottery and the large St. Anthony Statue. 
Baucau is a picturesque seaside town with a Portuguese flavor. The silkworm farm at Triloca produces hand made silk products such as scarves dyed in natural colors extracted from leafs, roots, etc.... As well there is various other small industries of silk soap, arts crafts.
